MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- Reggie Davis rushed for 274 yards with two touchdowns as the Lee-Montgomery Generals defeated #4 Eufaula 25-10 Thursday night at the Cramton Bowl. Eufaula came into the came with a high scoring offense through their first two games of the season averaging a huge 44.0 points per game but the Generals defense turned that around tonight.

Lee-Montgomery (2-1, 1-0) used a huge rushing attack from Davis as he scored two touchdowns and had other long runs to setup touchdowns for his team. "We know we have to run the football for four quarters and we did that tonight," said Generals Head coach Eric Hudson. "Reggie is an outstanding player and he has room to grow as a player. He has a lot of upside and is a very special player."

Eufaula (2-1, 0-1) scored first in the game. With 10:03 left in the second quarter, Jay Lewis scored on a 4-yard touchdown run for the Tigers.  Lee-Montgomery came right back and scored on a Davis 11-yard touchdown run, but the two-point conversion failed and Eufaula led 7-6. Eufaula had a good drive right before the half and with :02 seconds left in the second quarter, Tigers kicker Bernardo Morales kicked a 32-yard field goal for Eufaula. The Tigers took a 10-6 lead into the half.

The second half was all Lee-Montgomery. Early in the third quarter, Davis rips off a long 36-yard run to setup a Jakel Williams 2-yard touchdown run for the Tigers. With the score, Lee-Montgomery took a 12-10 lead and they never trailed again in the game. With 1:05 left in the third quarter, the Generals had the two-point lead. "We were very physical and being physical will get you the win," said Generals defensive lineman Anquin Barnes. "We have that mentality every game that we want to dominate the front line and our front seven gave them problems. Our coach puts us in place to win the game. We are in great condition and we just don't tire out."

Eufaula had a good drive and it looked like they were going to score, but missed a 34-yard field goal with nine minutes left in the fourth quarter. With 8:03 left in the forth quarter, Brian Thomas scored on a 3-yard touchdown run. Another Davis long 68-yard run setup the Generals touchdown. With the touchdown, Lee-Montgomery went up 19-10.

With 4:43 left in the game, Davis scored on an 8-yard touchdown to close out the win for the Generals. "Teams are not going to stop me. Were going to line up and they are going to line up. This is what I do and I'm not going to be stopped," said Generals running back Davis. "I just want the ball in my hands. When I see open space, I'm not going to be stopped. We stay hydrated and coach preaches it during the week. We run like like heck during the week to stay in good shape. I like being that workhorse."

Up next for both teams, Lee-Montgomery will host Sidney Lanier while Eufaula will host Opelika.
