Vestavia Hills 42, Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa 24 Game Recap
Auburn 17, Opelika 10 Final | Thursday - September 4, 2025
OPELIKA, Alabama -- The 100th meeting between Auburn and Opelika lived up to the billing, as Auburn earned a 17–10 victory in a rivalry game filled with momentum swings and big plays on Thursday night.
The Tigers struck early, setting the tone with a first-quarter touchdown pass to grab a 7–0 lead. In a clever play, wide receiver Joshua Askew found a wide-open quarterback, Cason Myers, on a 12-yard touchdown pass with 5:44 left in the first quarter. Their defense held strong, and a field goal before halftime extended the margin to 10–0. Auburn appeared in control, dictating the pace and limiting Opelika’s offensive rhythm through two quarters. Hoover 21, Spain Park 10 Final | Friday - August 29, 2025
HOOVER, Alabama -- In one of the best cross-town rivalary games in Alabama, the Hoover Bucs defeated the Spain Park Jaguars 21-10 at Jaguar Stadium in our Friday Night Game of the Week. The Bucs wanted to bring home the bragging rights as the Jags toppled Hoover last year, but Hoover had something to prove on this night. Defense!
The Bucs defense was stingy as they kept Brock Bradley uncomfortable in the pocket for most of the night. "That was a word floating around," said Hoover head coach Chip English. "Who's the toughest. Tough people find ways to win. We proved that tonight." MORE GAME STORY
Vestavia Hills 42, Auburn 14 Final | Thursday - August 28, 2025
VESTAVIA HILLS, Alabama -- The #9 Vestavia Hills Rebels knocked off the #3 Auburn Tigers in a Class 7A non-region game at Thompson-Reynolds Stadium on Thursday night. The Rebels used their fast-tempo offense to keep the Tigers off balance for most of the night, and they were generally a step slow in adapting to the fast-paced offense.
"We had an unwavering spirit and talked about protecting our home this week," said Rebels head coach Robert Evans. "I couldn't be prouder of this team. This is a program win over a top team in the state the last couple of years. Our pace wore on them a little bit, but it is not just pace; it is multiplicity with pace, something we have worked on. Both our coordinators called a great game." MORE GAME STORY
